Alfred C. "Fred" Cerullo, III is an actor and Republican Party lawmaker and government official from New York City.[1]
Cerullo, one of the most successful, and high profile chief executives on the New York City political and business scene, usually spends his spare time pursuing a theatrical acting career. Sharing the television, legit, and film sound stages with such names as Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli, Susan Lucci, Keifer Sutherland, Eartha Kitt, Brooke Shields and numerous others, Cerullo's gradual progression in trodding the boards stands in unique contrast to his daily bread-and-butter responsibilities as President/CEO of the Grand Central Partnership and as an active Commissioner of the New York City Planning Commission.
While holding down key roles in productions of works by Neil Simon (Rumors, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, California Suite), Wendy Wasserstein (An American Daughter),and Robin Cook (NBC's Invasion), Cerullo has served as a New York City Councilman and Commissioner of both the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs and the New York City Department of Finance, as well as a Board Member of many non-profit organizations. A member of the Bar in New York, New Jersey, California and Washington, DC, Cerullo is constantly striving to make his list of theatrical credits as long and esteemed as his affiliations with countless community-based and charitable organizations in the Greater New York area.
Cerullo is the nephew of Academy Award Nominee Patty McCormack, who chilled audiences as "The Bad Seed".[2]
